Meningitis ACWY (MenACWY) is a serious bacterial infection that can cause meningitis and septicaemia (blood poisoning). The MenACWY vaccine protects against the A, C, W, and Y strains of meningococcal bacteria. It's recommended for teenagers and can be given up to age 25.
